Is it possible to check yourself for dilation?

I'm sure it is possible to check yourself for dilation but I honestly wouldn't recommend it because your hands could have bacteria and other stuff on it that it's not good to just go ahead and stick your fingers up there. A centimeter is about the size of your fingernail so if you could sorta measure it that way then you would know how many centimeters you were but again I wouldn't recommend sticking your fingers up there.
